Google Drive

Palette connects to Google Drive so you can import files into your workspace's company library. Palette indexes each imported file and can search it and cite it when answering questions or preparing research.
Palette asks Google for per-file access only. It can read the files you select in the picker and nothing else in your Drive.
- Open Workspace settings, Integrations, Google Drive. Connecting is available to workspace owners.
- Click Connect Google Drive and approve access in Google.
- Click Import from Drive and select the files to add. Folders can be browsed but not imported whole; pick the files inside them.
Supported files: Google Docs, Google Sheets, PDF, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), and plain text. Google Slides is not supported yet.
Imported files appear under Documents in Workspace settings with source Drive, and the integration page shows each file's import progress. Palette respects each file's sharing in Drive: a teammate the file is not shared with will not see it in Palette's answers. If Palette cannot read a file's sharing list, the file stays visible only to the person who imported it.
Palette does not watch your Drive. Edits made to a file in Drive are not picked up automatically; re-import the file to update it. Re-importing updates the existing document rather than creating a duplicate.
Disconnecting keeps your imported documents in the library, but Palette stops searching and citing them. To fully revoke Palette's access, also remove it under your Google account's third-party access settings.
